Save lives and reduce liability with medical approved pre-arrival instruction for the nation’s leaders in crisis communications training.  Developed from the latest IDOT/NHTSA standards and reviewed and approved by Patrick W. Lanzetta, MD FACEP, this training meets or exceeds all applicable published guidelines.
 
INCIDENT CRITIQUES:   Attendees will review and critique a variety of actual 911 emergency calls, allowing them to learn from other’s mistakes and benefit from lifesaving techniques garnered from around the world
ROLE PLAY/CALL SIMULATIONS:  Using the latest technology, students will learn what it feels like to be on the other end of an emergency call.  Life threatening scenarios will give attendees the opportunity to provide proper pre-arrival instructions and demonstrate exactly how their actions in the first few seconds of an emergency can have a direct impact on the outcome of the call.
SEMINAR EXAMINATION:  At the conclusion of the seminar, a comprehensive examination will be administered.  Those successfully completing the exam will be issued a PowerPhone EMD certification.
EMD MANUAL INCLUDED:  Reviewed extensively in the seminar, each student will receive the recent edition of Dispatchers Medical Desk Reference Manual, the most widely distributed EMD protocol guide in the world
 
Funding is provided by a grant from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and from the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.

MTU 5’s request for certification of this course has been approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standard’s Board.

Course enrollment must be made by the agency CEO or designated training officer.  Registration may be made using our on-line course registration link on this website.  All officers enrolled by their department will be assumed to be on duty unless otherwise noted
