Instructors-Michael DeHart & Chris Wuensch
Lieutenant Michael DeHart-
Is the Field Training Unit Coordinator for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He has over 25 years of experience in policing. He is an Indiana Law Enforcement Board (ILETB) Master Instructor and a graduate of the FBINA. Lieutenant DeHart has a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Business Management. He also serves as an adjunct criminal justice lecturer for Indiana Wesleyan University, in the Department of Social Sciences.
Field Training Officer Chris Wuensch-
Serves the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in the North District Bike Unit and also as a Field Trainer Officer. FTO Wuensch has over 14 years of experience as a police officer and has received numerous awards. Those awards include: ERB Rookie of the Year, Fire Police Sheriff Award: North District Officer of the Year, Medal of Courage Recipient. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Xavier University. FTO Wuensch is a certified instructor by the Indiana Law Enforcement Board (ILETB). He frequently instructs recruits as well new instructors.

ALL OFFICERS MUST SHOW PROPER DEPARTMENT IDENTIFICATION TO BE ADMITTED TO THE TRAINING AREA
MTU 5’s request for certification of this course has been approved through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
Course enrollment must be made by the agency CEO or designated training officer. Registration may be made using our on-line course registration link on this website. All officers enrolled by their department will be assumed to be on duty unless otherwise noted
